You are invited to join two nights of prayer, traditional dance and life celebration around the sacred fire with the medicine carriers of the Wixárika (Huichol) nation from Mexico.
It is such an honor to receive this heart-opening, ancient and rare medicine hikuri (peyote) from the Wirikuta desert served by the elder and renowned mara’akame (shaman) Don Eugenio Lopez as well as his brother Eusevio who will accompany him with their traditional music.
This is a rare and beautiful opportunity to make prayers and offerings for our lives and our families, receive a powerful purification and deep communion with ourselves, each other and spirit.
The Wixárika people are traveling and sharing their medicine, offerings and prayers with the intention to bring balance, healing and harmony to our planet and share their message to preserve and protect their most sacred land of Wirikuta. It is the 5th year in a row that they travel to Lake Atitlán to share their tradition with us.
Each ceremony will begin after sunset around 8.30pm, and close around sunrise. Breakfast will be served after each ceremony at Casa Floresta.
Peyote Ceremony and Blessings
Please bring warm layers to be out by the fire all night, and extra cushions, or back jacks for comfort. If you are joining both nights, you are welcome to rest in the Temple at Casa Floresta during the day before the next ceremony.
Don Eugenio will be offering individual healing sessions (limpiezas) in the morning after the ceremony for those that would like to receive his blessing.
In his sessions he does a full body scan to locate stagnant energy and with his feathers he clears and crystallizes the energy out of the body. He’s able to perform true magic and the only way you can believe it is to experience it for yourself.
A healing session is 250q or $35.
