Resting Mind
By Jayaji / transmissions and meditations for contemplation
Natural mind is resting the mind.
If mind is agitated, rest.
If resting the mind feels impossible, rest in the impossibility.
If it feels easy, rest with effortlessness.
After the mind goes searching for this why and that why, chasing thoughts and dreams, let it rest as it is.
When noticing that you forgot awareness to be subdued in mind wandering, do not reprimand, simply let rest.
Like this, come to the point where you search for the reference point of your conscious awareness and attention and rest in that point.
Resting here in presence, find there is no such point and with open awareness rest endlessly.
Resting endlessly in all directions whatever could be an obstacle?
This is the way of natural mind.
Natural mind is resting mind.
Resting mind is empty mind.
Empty mind is vast, fathomless and has a quality like space.
Space is empty yet holds all that could be filled in existence
Natural mind is empty and yet allows all psychological phenomena to pass through it.
Therefore do not cling to any idea but let it pass without touching the sides.
Letting it pass, mind is cleaned and realises its empty nature.
Clinging to ideas, mind is contracted into ideas.
Not clinging to ideas, mind remains unaffected and unafflicted and stands prior to the world of ideas.
Natural mind then is like the sky untainted by the weather.
It is achieved by giving up seeking and resting into this moment completely as it is.
